Understanding your role as an employer—and your role as an employee—is critical in municipal administration. This session will clarify: * The Administrator’s responsibilities to municipal staff * Council’s role as the employer of the Administrator * Key requirements under Labour Standards and Occupational Health & Safety legislation We will also walk through common situations that arise in municipalities—where actions may unintentionally be non-compliant, unfair, or expose the organization to risk—and outline practical steps to address them.
